Sketch vs Figma

I have recently switched to Figma. I can't say if I would have had as much problems learning Figma as I did Sketch if I started with it. I am thankful that I started with Sketch. And maybe because it is harder to learn that Figma seems easier.

I began with fixing some of my high-fidelity mockups. Of course, I had to learn the terms and how to navigate but once I got a hang of it, it came quickly. I like the way it is laid out and that I can use it on a browser or on the app. With Sketch, I was doing a lot of external clicking and don't seem to be doing that quite yet with Figma.

One of the issues with Sketch was the plugins. There are so many of them and it is difficult to know which ones are good for me, or how to best use them. I have not yet explored the plugins for Figma but it seems they may be easier to navigate but will explore that in another post.

I just finished the animation unit. Springboard suggested using Invision Studio. For some reason I could not download it from Chrome. I ended up downloading it from Safari. I opened it up and it seemed to be set up similar to Sketch. I was to bring over my UI elements from my Style Guide and then animate them using Invision. I wanted to animate the toggle switch and found a tutorial using Figma. I started with Invision and found it difficult to duplicate so ended up just using Figma. I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish.

Here is a link to the prototype of the toggle button: https://www.figma.com/proto/2kODL57RalM2Ph59Yrrn6F/Wireframes-mobility-equipment?node-id=29%3A416&viewport=295%2C619%2C0.2154141366481781&scaling=scale-down
